What Would Beyoncé Do?

Happy Sunday! Before I start this week’s Social Sunday I just want to give you a quick reminder that today is the LAST day to sign up to The 5 Day Newsletter Fix!

We start tomorrow morning and I’ll be inviting everyone into the group this evening, so you have until the end of today to sign up.

I’m so excited to get started and I can’t wait to read all of the newsletters that are going to be created this week!

The 5 Day Newsletter Fix is a 5 day group course and you WILL send a newsletter at the end of it, just like this one.

If you’d like to sign up, click here or reply to this email and I’ll get you booked on.

While I’ve been writing posts about the 5 Day Fix this week I’ve been trying to listen to podcasts about newsletters to get me in the zone.

I listened to a great one with Elizabeth Stiles all about email marketing and what happens when you aren’t showing up for your email list. Click here to listen.

She said it’s like when you buy tickets for a Beyoncé gig.

Beyoncé isn’t backstage worrying about performing and being out in front of you.

She’s getting ready to give you a good performance and make sure you get your money’s worth from that ticket. Because everyone in that audience has bought a ticket for the show.

And that’s why people keep coming back. It’s why they are always sold out shows.

Because Beyoncé shows UP and she never disappoints.

The same happens with your email list. When people sign up it’s like they are buying tickets to your show, they're telling you that they want to hear from you and they want to know what you have to say.

All you have to do is show up and provide value to your audience.

I’ve seen a few posts on Instagram recently about getting fatigued with social media.

It’s tiring having to put yourself out there all the time and promote your business. But even when I feel like I need a break from Instagram, I still love to write this newsletter.

It means I can have a break from being ‘on’ but still stay connected to my audience in a different way.

On that note, I also wanted to say thank you for signing up to this newsletter. I know some of you have been here from day one, some for one day, but I’m really grateful and I love having the chance to pop into your inbox every Sunday!

Every Sunday a new episode of The Social Sunday Podcast comes out! The latest episode is about getting out of your comfort zone and trying something new. Find it on Spotify or click here.
