In 2019 we launched Barry Magazine, the first online only digital magazine to promote Barry, South Wales.
Barry Magazine is designed to spread positive news through the magazine and social media about the small businesses, community and people of Barry.
We've now published 6 issues, with over 5000 followers on Facebook and Instagram and a huge community of readers for every issue.
You can read the latest issue of Barry Magazine on our website www.barrymagazine.co.uk.
On 21st September the first ever Barry Pride sponsored by Spectrum Collections took place on Barry High Street.
Over 700 people joined our Parade and 4000 attended across the day to celebrate our LGBTQ+ community.
We started from scratch with a small team for this event, designing the logo and branding, creating social media accounts and a website www.barrypride.co.uk.
Our Facebook page reached over 80,000 people with no advertising spend.
We worked with a huge number of LGBTQ+ groups, charities and members of the community to create a successful day which opened up conversations and supported our three aims to educate, celebrate and commemorate.
Barry Business Club
We launched Barry Business Club in May 2019 after noticing there was a gap in Barry for a networking group.
Barry Business Club is a relaxed networking group that meets regularly at shops in Barry to connect other business owners.
There's no awkward introductions, no 60 second pitches and everyone gets a tea or a coffee to sip on too!
We always post our dates on the Barry Magazine Facebook page so head over there to keep updated.
