Being 1% better

I know I've mentioned it many times, but in 3 weeks today, I’m running the Manchester Marathon.

Don’t switch off yet! There is helpful advice in this email.

Honestly, it’s the thing I think about the most at the moment.

Whether it’s scheduling in the long runs, booking the train to get up there or fitting in some yoga in the evenings.

To keep on top of everything I’ve made this very sophisticated grid on the back of a cardboard box.

Each day I’m doing one small thing to get me closer to my goal.

In the book Atomic Habits, James Clear talks about the 1% rule.

The 1% rule says that 'doing the right things, more consistently, can help you have an edge over time.'

I’m doing one small thing every day to have a better run.

On 2nd October there will only be 90 days left of the year so I thought, why not apply this rule to my business too?

I’m giving myself a small prompt, task, or challenge that should only take around 10 minutes to do.

I thought I’d share a few of the prompts with you too!

  • Do something today that moves you closer to a sale. Could you offer a discount for returning customers? Send out an email? Put up a post with your products or services?

  • Collect testimonials for your work or products and save them somewhere visible. It could be on your website, on your story highlights, or turning them into a graphic.

  • Set a timer for 1 hour, put your phone away and batch create as many posts as you can. Write notes beforehand with some ideas to get you started.

I’ve written 90 of these prompts to help me do one thing to move my business forward for the next 3 months and I can’t wait to get started.

If you would like to take part I’ve created a Facebook group so we can keep each other accountable and I’ll be sharing tutorials, videos, and daily tasks too!

By the end, you will have done 90 positive things for you and your business.

I really want to finish this year on a high! If you do too, click here to join us and have The Best 90 Days Ever.
