I’m back! Today seems like a good Sunday to restart The Social Sunday newsletter and catch up with what everyone has been up to!
I hope you all had a really lovely Christmas and New Year, did you manage to have a break?
You might have already spotted but I’ve kicked this year off with a bang and started a series of #TeaBreakTips on Instagram. Every day in January I’m sharing a quick 10 minute tip to help you improve your marketing this year.
You can do them each day or pull an all nighter on 31st January and whip through them all then. They’ll stay on my page and be there for you to come back to if you're having a break this month, just follow me on my Instagram here.
I’ve spent the day up in the office looking at my goals for the year. My lovely friend Lisa sent me the yearly and quarterly planner from my coach Alice’s collaboration with Sighh and it’s brilliant!
I’ve been thinking alot about how I want this year to go and the things that are actually in my control (it looks like we’ll be having another ‘unprecedented year’!) and using it to make plans.
I’m not one to wake up on 1st January and declare that cheese and gin are now banned and I need to exercise 1000 hours a week but I do like to have a guide for the year, or as the planner says ‘intentions’.
So my three intentions for this year are…
Expand - reach more people and grow my audience
Explore - keep learning, make time to be creative and explore new things
Efficient - less scrolling, less procrastination, more being proactive and getting stuff done!
(It was a total accident that they all begin with E, but once I had two it had to be done)
Having these in mind means I can focus on projects and ways of working that will help keep me on this path.
Have you set intentions or a plan for 2021? I’d love to hear what they are!
With my first intention in mind I’d really like to ask a favour… If you know anyone who you think might be interested in receiving The Social Sunday please share this link with them. I’m really grateful for every single person that signs up and I can't wait to share more each weekend with you!
