What are you known for?

We’re both feeling really relaxed after going away for two days without Wifi and Netflix! We came back to a new log burner and now we're officially ready for the final part of the year.

We went to West Wales to do a review of a dog friendly cottage, so we took the chocolates with us. The venue wanted to be well known for being a great dog friendly place, so they’d focussed on thinking exactly about their target audience, dog owners.

There was a secure garden, leather sofas that wiped clean, a fenced off paddock and even a warm outdoor dog shower!

They weren’t trying to be the most modern or stylish, they just completely focussed on being dog friendly and put that audience first.

The same goes for the company we used for our log burner. When I asked my friends and on Instagram if they knew anyone, literally everyone recommended the same local company.

They specialise in log burners, it’s what they do, and because they are experts in that one thing they are well known for being great at it.

When local people think of getting a log burner they think of them, and the same should work for you too.

What do you want to be known for?

I’m working with a client who wants to be the number one in their industry in Barry. Top of Google, the person everyone comes to.

I want to be known for how I can help small businesses. When people think of marketing, social media and websites I want them to think of me.

You might want to be an expert in fashion, food, places to visit in Cardiff, chocolate Labradors maybe!

Some people call it a niche, but I just like to think of what I want people to remember about my work.

So tell me, what do you want to be known for?

It might be different to what you do now, and that’s okay! But let it guide you on how you promote yourself and your business going forward.

The more people you tell, the more people will remember what you do, so send me an email and let me know yours!
